24 Hours of Le Mans 2010: Audi triumph

Spectacular arrival of the three Audi to the first three places in the 78th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

First place was of the Audi R15 TDI No 9 Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller.
In second place is classified the Audi R15 TDI No 8 Marcel Faessler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer.
Third place was of the Audi R15 TDI No 7 of Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish.

For the German manufacturer this year is the ninth overall win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a result that equals what achieved the Ferrari and was second, in the history of the legendary 24 hours, only to the 16 successes of Porsche.

SHELL ECO-MARATHON AMERICAS

After running 615Km/KWh, or 5641 Km/l, with the Apollo solar vehicle the mecc-SUN team of Politecnico di Milano has topped the absolute classification, achieving a result three times higher than the best USA team’s.

The whole Fondmetal personnel, in particular the Engineering staff, send their compliments to Politecnico di Milano and to the mecc-SUN team for the prestigious achievement, with the wish to reconfirm the result at the European edition with the Apollo solar and the Artemide hydrogen vehicles.
